Hey Everyone,
If Gmail thinks this is too long, read it on the web. (or click on the title above). Warning, this won’t read like a normal post I usually do.
I wanted to give a shout-out to all the incredible A.I. Newsletters on Substack and this list just keeps growing. If you have the time, they are all worthy of reading.
To be reader centric, I’ve always believed you need to be somewhat agnostic in your coverage, and while I have my strong biases in what I enjoy reading, I also want to encourage others and my readers to discover the best knowledge and insights possible according to your preferences.
Maybe we all have our own favorites, but here I try to list many Newsletters in one place. Did I forget someone, leave me a note: (do you want a recommendation exchange? DM me on Twitter or LinkedIn).
This list purposely leaves out beehiiv Newsletter, which are themselves amazing, this is for brevity. (otherwise the list would be in the several 100s now).
Please Restack this list of Newsletters on Notes for the benefit of all of our Technology readers out there. Or click the Restack (share) button at the end of this list. It looks like this:
If you appreciate my approach to coverage, get the full value. This is my full-time job so your support enables me to support my family.
I have separated the Newsletters into categories for easier observations, these are entirely superficial categories mean for ease of browsing. You can see my viral tweet on A.I. Newsletters to get a broader range of initial insights on this.
If Gmail thinks this is too long, read it on the web.
For an updated list that includes more Newcomers and Data-Engineering, see the edited LinkedIn version here.
Top Tier mostly means they have been here longer and found incredible success. Established infers a certain paid subscription emphasis. Ascending means they are growing fast. Newcomer means they are relatively new to Substack. Hybrid means they sometimes write about A.I. enough to be read by A.I. curious readers. Expert means they may have a more technical or academic focus.
If you are into A.I. this is not one list you’ll want to miss:
So let’s get into it, this issue is free for all for a limited time.

“The pace of progress in artificial intelligence (I’m not referring to narrow AI) is incredibly fast. Unless you have direct exposure to groups like Deepmind, you have no idea how fast—it is growing at a pace close to exponential. The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five-year time frame. 10 years at most.”

“The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race….It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.”
— Stephen Hawking told the BBC

“Artificial intelligence would be the ultimate version of Google. The ultimate search engine that would understand everything on the web. It would understand exactly what you wanted, and it would give you the right thing. We’re nowhere near doing that now. However, we can get incrementally closer to that, and that is basically what we work on.”
—Larry Page

“The real question is, when will we draft an artificial intelligence bill of rights? What will that consist of? And who will get to decide that?”
—Gray Scott
