I have a special summer discount going for my AI Supremacy Newsletter, help me get to 100 paid subscribers.
Hey Guys,
There is absolutely so much to cover in the A.I. news cycle in 2022, it’s nearly too much for one person to attempt.
However from accountability journalism to exploring new topics of major AI labs, one of my favorites is Microsoft Research, who are frankly doing a lot of great work.
In the near past I have covered Microsoft’s contribution to A.I. R&D multiple times. My archives are now a deep list of topics around A.I., innovation and the future.
I try to balance accountability journalism topics, with corporate coverage, startup funding and Op-Eds. It’s in practice a precarious balancing act, even with the long hours I put into my work.
Give me Topic suggestions
Have a story or PR for me to cover, DM me on LinkedIn or Twitter. I also interview startup founders, and offer sponsored mentions. Just came out of stealth? I also cover startups on A.I. Survey Newsletter.
I’m a new writer on Substack, but AI Supremacy has crossed 4,000 free subscribers in 7.25 months. That averages out to about 16 new subscribers each day, higher than Substack’s baseline.
For Microsoft Research, I’m bullish so I continue to cover them. I’m not sponsored to do this, it’s out of my powerful curiosity in the space.
Microsoft is just making a lot of smart decisions about the future of A.I. products in its highly diversified business model. For every one critical article (not all of Microsoft’s decisions are wise) I write about Microsoft, I have about three that explores the potential of their products and evolving ecosystem.
So why do I do that? It’s because I’m covering innovation in as objective a way as I know how. But I also have a professional responsibility to cover A.I. ethics and accountability journalism when BigTech crosses the line, and they often do.
Still celebrating Microsoft Researcher’s R&D is legit and it’s part of my futurism coverage. I have a lot of readers who actually work at Microsoft. On LinkedIn, a lot of my audience works at Amazon and Google. Suffice to say that it’s not just A.I. enthusiasts who are following my work, but a lot of founders, startup folk and A.I. researchers who want to stay in tune with developments in the easiest time-saving way possible.
With regards to Microsoft Research, I’m a big fan.
There’s definately a high chance that you missed these:
1. What is Microsoft Power-Apps?
2. Microsoft Launches Azure OpenAI Services at its Build Conference
3. Wayve Partners with Microsoft to Scale Autonomous Vehicles
4. Microsoft's AI-as-a-Service Ecosystem Rapidly Improving
These are just some of the Microsoft Research related topics I’ve covered since I started on Substack.
So let’s get into it.
