Although it didn't make the list, if you're in higher ed, you might want to check out ;https://aigoestocollege.substack.com. It's entirely free and has things to offer professional staff and faculty.
Appreciate it! There's a ton of interest about AI in higher ed right now. In fact, I'm giving a big talk on the ethics of human-AI co-production next week. It will be interesting to see how folks react. Keep up the good work!!
A great issue from two great newsletters authors. Thank you for this. Now I just have to choose which new newsletters to subscribe to! P.S. This format is very nice, it should definitely be revived for other AI-related topics!
The field of study known as Artificial Intelligence dates from 1956. Many algorithms textbooks ("Introduction to Algorithm", "Algorithms in C", "Algorithm in C++") include AI algorithms without telling the reader that the algorithms are found and explained in AI textbooks ("Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach"). This is my 3rd AI Summer-Winter Cycle since becoming a Computer Science professional. This AI Cycle is about Large Language Models. The last cycle it was Expert Systems. Everything LLM were going to changed was said about Expert Systems.
Nick is one of the best community people in AI we have in all of Substack. He's also just really bright in this field in how AI overlaps with so many aspects of education.

If you have a slide deck that you are open to sharing, I'd be interesting in seeing it for that talk.
Got to admit I love how pro Substack Nick's forward to this is.
Another good substack specifically covering academia and AI...

Thanks, Sifu. I will add it to the list for the next edition!!!
Fantastic issue and lovely round up of some great AI writers on here - including yourselves!
It's tricky to include or not include ourselves, isn't it.
As the authors, I think that counts!

So many good Newsletters. So little time. Honored to be included and looking forward to adding to my subscriptions!
That's so true, especially when it comes to more specialized and expert topics.
I know what I’ll be reading for the next few days! Thanks for putting together these resources.
