This is in the vicinity of breaking news.

I may be a rather contrarian thinker, A.I. researcher and analyst, but Google’s Search monopoly is top of mind with the on-going trial. Even when Microsoft got early access of GPT-4 with Bing, it literally lost even more marketshare to Google’s Search Advertising monopoly. I was not impressed, but not exactly surprised.

But nobody likes to use Edge or Microsoft products which for the most part, that feel forced in its own monopoly bundling of its own Software services. While Amazon has made tremendous headway in advertising in recent years, it’s only Apple with its LLM, Ajax, that could compete directly with Google in search.

With Safari, iPhone users and a vast software ecosystem and app store of its own, yep only Apple could take on Google in search at this point.
