Guide to A.I. Supremacy: I'm analyzing & tracking a more exponential future 🔮
📌 TABLE OF CONTENTS: Here’s the index of everything I’ve written so far.
Hey Everyone,
Welcome to my Newsletter, it’s actually Newsletters plural. I love what I do, I wouldn’t want to be doing anything but this. I wanted to touch base with all of you 👨👩👧👦. I wanted to re-introduce you to my work.
I’m grateful to have readers interested in similar things as to what I think about all day long. This is a Tour of my Newsletters I have compiled for my welcome Email as well as an index with links to the scope of my work. I was hoping to apply to this Grant, and thinking whether I really deserve this. What is an emerging technology analyst anyways? Did I just create my own job? 🤷🏽♂️
Can I actually making a living wage doing this? All passions and pursuits are filled with uncertainty. So let’s begin the guide.
When to Expect?
My Newsletter typically comes out most days of the week just before 6 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
How: To See it
Reply ‘yes’ to this email (to ensure you receive my news)
Move this email to your "primary" inbox if it landed in your spam or promotions folder
Add “aisupremacy@substack.com” to your email contacts
Given recent updates to Gmail and Yahoo, you may not receive any of my emails if you don't do the above.
The What?
I write so much it’s difficult to index it all, but in the spirit of an index, something like a table of contents for new readers, let me give this a shot.
It may also help you decide if you want to support my work and check out my vast library of deep dives. 📚
The Why (do I even Care?)
🎯 Mission Statement
At A.I. Supremacy my goal is to track emerging and exponential technology and especially with regards to the evolution of artificial intelligence. I’m primarily concerned with startups, business and venture capital trends as well as implications on society, science and humanity.
Life Circumstances / Future of Media
If you value articles like these, consider supporting an indie writer, curator, researchers and analyst.
I’m self-employed and don’t have the means to have any additional staff, nor do I have the privilege of having other sources of income.
The visual theme of this post is begging the question, is Apple’s Vision Pro the next AI mediated consumer device? Instead of a Poll this time, I’ll let the market decide. I grapple with questions like these, nearly constantly.
This article embodies the sum total of my work here on Substack. To get access to my deep dives on A.I. Supremacy, do the following:

So when you subscribe to A.I. Supremacy and my other Newsletters on here, you are getting access to these huge archives. Naturally I don’t expect many of my readers through their own volition to explore the hundreds of articles in the archives. This “article map” might help in this issue.
This represents thousands of hours of my labor…yet the survival of these publications remains in doubt in 2024. I have found modest growth in free subscribers in 2022 and 2023 at least, which is encouraging.
Growth and Feedback
After 25 months writing in the Newsletter economy, I have some amount of product-market fit, even as just one among thousands of “AI Newsletters”.
Do you know someone who might enjoy these topics?
I enjoy emerging tech 🔮 even more than I did today in 2024 than when I started this endeavor in 2021. Financially I’ve managed to somehow make ends meet.
Apple’s Vision Pro is out, I’m going to have to write a deep dive on that! Forty years of computing in this picture, but it feels like there’s been five years of AI developments packed into the past 18 months.
This makes emerging tech, innovation and startup trends really enjoyable to cover during this period.
I’m obsessed with multiple business aspects from emerging industries like Quantum computing to the hype narrative of Generative AI.
Show me the Goods 👌
ARTICLE MAP OF MY WORK
Let’s get into the big picture of my writing of 2022 to 2024.

As an analyst about emerging tech and the future, I have cover and curate a great deal of content around a few core topics. Currently these are:
Startups 🦄
Artificial Intelligence 🤖
Robotics 🦾
Quantum computing 🌌
Innovation, emerging tech and technological China 👨🏻🔬
Main Newsletters
As a full-time Newsletter publication manager, these are some of the Newsletters I currently manage.
AI Supremacy - Posts in chronological order.
Artificial Intelligence Survey - Posts in chronological order.
Quantum Foundry - Posts in chronological order.
Among 10 other publications.
Newly Launched Publications in 2024
This is about what’s new and trending with major BigTech ‘magnificent seven’ companies and their pursuit of AI.
This is about progress in robotics, the teams that innovate and improvements in their capabilities.
Machine Economy Press - Learn more.
This is about automation and insights around how humans will adapt to this new world.
I’m trying to find a balance of curating the future of the emerging internet.
Index to All of my Work
This list includes guest authors, across publications and only scratches the surface of my work in my first two years on Substack.
Though my goal is to update it to include everything, I am beginning to think that is not realistic.
This then is the sample of what I am doing on a daily basis here. 👀 Hopefully dear reader, you find something of interest. What in unique about this table of contents, is it spans across my Newsletters on Substack. I’ve never really seen anything like that before.
Biography
My name is Michael Spencer, and I split my time between Montreal, Canada and Taichung, Taiwan. In late December, 2021 I started writing here. I need to make a breakthrough in 2024 to reach my full potential. I have had to lock more posts for paid subscribers and do more Native Sponsorships to make ends meet, I’m sorry of this is an inconvenience.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
This not just an index, but a map and a guide to a sample of my work here on Substack, across a few of my publications.

I try to cater to a wide range of audiences and cover breaking news, business trends and macro trends in A.I.
There’s likely not a Substack or a collection of publications around that covers as many diverse topics related to our niche.
For the first couple of years on Substack I have bootstrapped my costs but this year, my third, I will need to become profitable to keep on with this coverage or I will have to find something else to do in life.
Many publications in AI and Technology charge over $10 or $15 a month for coverage, I charge typically $8.
Thanks for reading!
LinkedIn AI Report Newsletter
Before Substack and Medium, I was a two time LinkedIn Top Voice back before they were algorithmically generated. During my decade of blogging before Substack I gained followers from my Newsletter efforts in that ecosystem.
How many Active Readers really?
Total addressable audience on LinkedIn, 225,765.
Total addressable audience on Substack, according to my profile is 74,000.
On my LinkedIn I have another 214,000 followers.
I would estimate my total addressable market of readers is 175,000 unique readers in the above. Let’s be conservative and say my global open-rate is 30%, that means I have only roughly 52,000 active readers.
This is organic reach without paid acquisitions. Given my limited financial means to invest into the business, it’s interesting for me to see how my efforts stack up after 25 months on Substack.
Growth on the LinkedIn Newsletter
Around November, 2023 LinkedIn updated their algorithm to allow Newsletters on their platform to be found more easily. 4,000 new readers in the past 3 months there is the first time it’s grown in many months.
A Stack of Multiple Platforms
As an analyst, curator and writer therefore I recognize that my “stack” needs to include many platforms like LinkedIn, Substack, Substack Notes and Instagram Threads to reach a wider audience.
AI Report helps me survive financially with Native Sponsors to help me work on my Substack which is my main passion project.
AI Report is a featured Newsletter on Paved.
I use Passionfroot to work with AI startups to do collabs.
The Native Sponsorships and paid subscriptions from Substack helps me fund my work. In 2024, that is how I continue writing.
Thanks for all of your support.
Now this is showing your work.
