The GPT-6 Astra has brought OpenAI to a critical crossroads and if you would have asked me when GPT-3.5 launched in November, 2022 would I have expected more 4 years later, I certainly would have. But it's the pattern of low product execution combined with marketing deception that I find so sad about OpenAI's approach.

It's lowered trust in the entire ecosystem, for perhaps years to come. As a prospective investor, I wouldn't touch the IPO. It will survive, if it survives, soley on the circular financing of Nvidia and the Hyperscalers, not on its own merit in the years to come.

GPT-6 Astra could have should have been a bigger deal. "Shadows and illusion of AGI" in 2026 after all of this Capex, that's the most ridiculous part. I'm so disappointed in OpenAI, I want to write them off and stop covering them altogether at this point.
