As the Military of the U.S. and China begins to fuse its Air force, drones and robots with machine learning, a new reality of a more automated military begins to take shape.
While the U.S. is shooting down surveillance balloons, something even more dystopian is about to occur, the future of the fighter jet pilot as a human, is nearly over. The fighter aircraft that was first introduced in 1978 has now seemingly evolved into an autonomous plane.
This is to me becoming an existential threat to human safety and geopolitical stability. The weaponization of military tech around A.I. is not an A.I. arms race that can end well. Powerful corporate, venture capital and National security actors are pushing for even more spending.
